Case Medical has been in the reprocessing industry for nearly 33 years. During that time, we advanced from wrapped trays and tribal knowledge to new technology using digital software. CaseTrak360 was originally a concept brought to us from an SPD manager utilizing DOS based software; boy, have we come a long way since then. More so, we found how we could connect our software with our container system and make it so intuitive that you can obtain everything you need with a scan or a button press. We call this: Digital Visualization.
Powered By UDIs
Every SteriTite container now comes laser marked with a UDI barcode on the latch to uniquely identify the individual container. This UDI can be translated into human readable text that contains information like the containers lot number, GTIN number, and a URL to the container’s IFU. Tracking systems like CaseTrak360 can take the UDI even further by using it to pull up information and pictures for an instrument set. We have also put UDI barcodes on our case carts and offer UDI tray tags and ID plaques. These UDIs are registered with the FDA to ensure that they are completely unique, which means that they can be used and integrated with a wide range of applications.
Instant Information With Digital Visualization
Scanning a UDI in CaseTrak360 can instantly bring up set information, pictures, videos, count sheets, and IFUs. Furthermore, the UDI can be used to track the history of a set; what procedures it was used in, how it was reprocessed, how it was stored, and more, all without patient data. The UDI can be used to pull detailed reports, give information for infection prevention, and can prevent reprocessing errors with alerts and warnings. All of this can be achieved without having to open the container. There is also no HIPAA of any kind stored inside of CaseTrak360, as everything is done with reference numbers. This makes the software incredibly low risk to run and use.
