A major ransomware attack has struck Ascension, a large nonprofit health system operating 140 hospitals across 19 U.S. states, severely disrupting operations since May 8, 2025.

Last Friday, Case Medical successfully completed an external audit that re-certified its ISMS system while moving to the most recent version (2022) of the ISO 27001 standard. This comes after months of preparation and expansion of the system to cover all company servers, the entire internal network, and most office computers.
